Drs. Kelli and Brandon Jennings Scholarship

Kelli and Brandon Jennings are both Pharm.D. graduates from the class of 2006. They established this endowment in recognition of the important role the VCU School of Pharmacy played in establishing their careers and in the tradition of their mentor and friend Amy Whitaker Rudenko.  This scholarship is open to third- or fourth-year pharmacy students with demonstrated leadership ability.

“We were so fortunate to receive scholarships while we were in school,” write Kelli and Brandon Jennings. “We know firsthand the impact that these scholarships had on our pharmacy school and subsequent professional careers. Both of us were active leaders within the school and have continued to be leaders in our professional careers. We were able to take advantage of, and learn from, the leadership opportunities while in pharmacy school in part because of the financial support we received from scholarships.

“We give because we want to help decrease the financial burden pharmacy students experience as a result of their education and because we want to allow them to take advantage of leadership opportunities within the school. Our faculty and professional mentors were always active in the alumni association and always supported student scholarships. They led by example and inspired us to give back as soon as we were able. This is our way to carry on their legacies and, we hope, to positively impact the next generation of pharmacists.”
