Samuel and Gilbert Rosenthal Foundation Scholarship

The Samuel and Gilbert Rosenthal Foundation Scholarship was established in 1988 by Mr. Gil Rosenthal, then chairman and chief executive officer of Standard Drug Company, through the Samuel and Gilbert Rosenthal Foundation. The Scholarship was established in honor of Samuel and Leo Rosenthal. Sam and Leo are the founders of Standard Drug Company (1919) and were among the first graduates of MCV with degrees in Pharmacy.   Gilbert is the son of Samuel Rosenthal. Gil served on the School of Pharmacy’s National Advisory Council for several years.

This scholarship is awarded annually to a pharmacy student who has demonstrated financial need, academic achievement and a commitment to service.

Criteria

  • Pharmacy student in any of the four years
  • Merit scholarship
