Henry Addington Academy of Independent Pharmacy Scholarship Fund

The Henry Addington Academy of Independent Pharmacy Scholarship was established in 2001 by virtue of a generous commitment from Henry Addington and a number of his independent pharmacy colleagues. A graduate from the class of 1951, Mr. Addington has enjoyed a long and successful career in independent pharmacy practice.   The purpose of the Henry Addington Academy of Independent Pharmacy Scholarship is to encourage careers in independent community practice by providing scholarship funds to MCV School of Pharmacy students that meet the selection criteria.

This scholarship is awarded annually to a student who has completed one full year of study in the School of Pharmacy, expresses a formal intention to practice in independent pharmacy upon graduation, has experience in working in an independent community pharmacy practice, provides letter of recommendation from an independent pharmacist by email to this address: pharscholars@vcu.edu and has maintained a satisfactory academic record in the School of Pharmacy.

 

Criteria

  • Merit scholarship
  • P2, P3 or P4 student
  • Express a formal intention to practice in independent pharmacy upon graduation
  • Has experience working in independent comunity pharmacy practice
  • Provides letter(s) of recommendation from an independent community pharmacist who is(are) familiar with your personal and academic qualifications. The applicant should ask each to forward a letter of recommendation to the address above by the application deadline.
