Nick G. Nicholas Memorial Fund

Mary K. Nicholas established the Nick G. Nicholas Memorial Fund in 1991 in memory of her late husband.

Nick G. Nicholas, 66, of Petersburg, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 23, 1991. Nick was a pharmacist and owner of the O.P. Hare Drug Co. in Petersburg. He graduated from MCV in 1952, where he served as president of Phi Delta Chi, the pharmacy fraternity, co-editor of the yearbook and as an officer on the Pan-Hellenic Council. As an alumnus of MCV, Nicholas served as chairman of the Pharmacy Division of the MCV Alumni Association. He remained actively involved with his alma mater and was awarded the Pharmacy Alumnus Service Award by the MCV Alumni Association in 1989. He was the first recipient of the award, which was created to recognize those graduates who have distinguished themselves through loyalty and service to the school.

This scholarship is awarded annually to a pharmacy student who has demonstrated financial need and academic achievement.
