Phi Delta Chi Scholarship in the Memory of Daniel A. Herbert

Ronald H. (P’80) and Nancy L. McFarlane (P’80) established the Phi Delta Chi Scholarship in the Memory of Daniel A. Herbert in December of 2007. This Scholarship, named in memory of Dan Herbert, provides scholarship assistance to student who is an active member of Phi Delta Chi at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. The scholarship recipient must have demonstrated academic achievement and financial need. 

Dan Herbert (P'66) was at the height of his career and was serving as president of the APhA when he passed away in 2004. Dan owned Richmond Apothecaries, doing business as Bremo Pharmacies in Richmond Virginia. The business is still owned and operated by the Herbert family. Dan was an active leader of the Phi Delta Chi while in pharmacy school.

Criteria

  • Pharmacy student in any of the four years
  • Merit scholarship
  • This scholarship is available annually to a student who is an active member of Phi Delta Chi, with demonstrated academic achievement and financial need.
